Some stories begin with a recipe. Ours began with a dream. John grew up in New York with a love for authentic East Coast baking and a passion for the mountains that eventually brought him to Boulder, Colorado. There he met Patty, and together they mastered the craft of traditional bagel making before returning home with one simple goal - to bring authentic New York-style bagels to the community they loved. What started as one neighborhood restaurant in Boulder has grown to include locations throughout Boulder, Louisville, Longmont, and Denver, while staying true to the family values and warm hospitality that inspired us from day one.
More than 30 years later, we're still a locally owned, family-operated business where everything is mixed, rolled, boiled, and baked fresh each morning. From a classic bagel with cream cheese to handcrafted lunch favorites, and freshly brewed coffee, everything we serve is prepared with quality ingredients and genuine care. With vegan and gluten-free options available, there's something for everyone to enjoy.
For John and Patty, Moe's has always been about more than great food - it's about building a place where neighbors become regulars and every guest feels at home. John still begins his mornings before sunrise to help ensure everything is baked fresh, while Patty continues to greet familiar faces with the warmth that's been part of Moe's since the very beginning. On Thursdays, the entire family still gathers to make the weekly Challah bread. It's that personal touch, together with a passion for quality and community, that has helped make Moe's one of the best bagel shops in Boulder. We can't wait to welcome you.
